A flexible, well-equipped venue in the heart of St Helier, suitable for a wide range of events.

The Freedom Centre is available for hire for conferences, talks, performances, community events, and private functions. With adaptable spaces and in-house technical facilities, we work with organisers to create events that run smoothly and feel professional.

Auditorium

The auditorium is a flat-floor, flexible performance space designed to work well for a wide range of events, from conferences and talks to live performances.

The room can be configured to suit your event, whether you need a traditional theatre layout, cabaret-style seating, or a more open arrangement.

For theatrical productions, the space is particularly well suited to smaller casts and simpler backstage requirements. Backstage facilities are currently modest, and the building does not include dedicated dressing rooms adjacent to the stage, so productions with larger casts or multiple costume changes benefit from early conversation to explore what’s possible within the space.

Capacity: 450 seated theatre-style, or up to 250 seated banquet-style

Primary technical control position at front-of-house, with extensive Cat6 tie-lines to the stage
Level access load-in routes directly into the auditorium via the foyer
Direct load-in via the Bath Street entrance (may require a ramp)

Foyer

The foyer is a versatile, light-filled space that works well for receptions, catering, exhibitions, and informal gatherings. It is often used alongside the auditorium for arrivals, intervals, and post-event hospitality.

The foyer can be configured to suit the tone of your event, from formal to relaxed.

Capacity: up to 175 standing, 60 cabaret-style, or 80 theatre-style
Suitable for standing receptions, cabaret layouts, or theatre-style seating
Three TVs available for presentations or visual content
Content can be mirrored via AirPlay from an Apple device, or supplied in advance for configuration
Servery and access to catering facilities
Located adjacent to the auditorium
Men’s and ladies’ toilets are directly accessible from the foyer

Suites and Meeting Rooms

A number of smaller rooms are available for workshops, meetings, rehearsals, breakout sessions, or production use.

These rooms work well as part of a larger event or for standalone bookings.

Rooms suitable for approximately 60, 30, or 25 seated theatre-style
West Side and Park Side meeting rooms each form part of a suite, with an adjoining breakout room suitable for 5–10 people
West Side and Park Side meeting rooms include a TV with HDMI input
Clients may connect their own laptop for presentations
Ideal for meetings, training, green rooms, or support spaces
Upper suites are accessed by stairs only
